For enhanced security and compliance, support for non-SNI clients on the JFrog Cloud Platform has been removed.
What is Server Name Indication (SNI)?
SNI is an extension of the TLS protocol that allows a client, at the start of the handshake process, to indicate the hostname to which it is attempting to connect.
This allows servers to present multiple certificates on the same IP address and TCP port number, thus permitting multiple secure (HTTPS) web services to be served by the same IP address without requiring all those sites to use the same certificate.
More information on the HTTPS-Only Standard and Server Name Indication is available HERE and HERE, respectively.
Implementing the new security standard in your JFrog Cloud Platform
When using HTTP clients that don't support SNI with the JFrog Cloud Platform, download/upload requests will fail. To avoid this, upgrade your clients to versions officially supported by the JFrog Cloud Platform.
