Why are we asking you to set a new password?
To provide you with a smoother and more secure access experience, we're upgrading our login process. This first step involves migrating Support Portal users to a new security platform, which is done through setting a new password.
How will setting a new password make things smoother and more secure?
This password setup is part of a larger initiative to implement Single Sign-On (SSO), which will eventually enable you to use a single set of credentials for JFrog customer-facing systems. This will simplify your login experience and improve security through a unified authentication method.
How should I set a new password?
You will receive an email from us on the day of the migration with a dedicated link to set up your new password. This process should only take 2-3 minutes. Once completed, you will be able to use your new credentials for your next login.
When will this change happen?
The new login page will go live on July 27, 2025.
What happens if I don't set a new password via the email link?
If you don't set a new password via the email link, you can do so on the new Help Center page. You'll see an "Action Required: Set Your New Password" message.
After clicking "Log In," you'll be redirected to the new login page and will need to click “Forgot Password." This will start a password reset process, which also registers you with the new IDP system.
Trying to log in with your old password after the change will result in an error message.
See the new Help Center and the Log-in page below.
How will the new Help Center page look?
The Help Center page will be replaced with the following new page:
After clicking "Log In," you will be redirected to the new login page:
What if I have credentials for both the Support Portal and MyJFrog?
During Phase 1 of the migration, Support Portal users will be migrated to the new IDP login. Users with access to both portals will initially maintain separate credentials until Phase 2, when MyJFrog users will also be migrated to the IDP, unifying your login for both platforms. Once this phase goes live, your credentials will be the credentials you initially set as part of the Support Portal migration.
What is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and how does it relate to this update?
The new IDP login system will support Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), adding an extra layer of security to your account. You will be able to manage your MFA settings, such as enabling or disabling it and setting up your preferred authenticator app out of - Microsoft Authenticator/ Google Authenticator/ FreeOTP
What happens if I have trouble setting a new password or have questions?
If you have any questions or encounter issues during the password set up process or with the new login method, you can reach out to JFrog by emailing service@jfrog.com.
I already set a new password. Why is the login page still showing a banner to reset my password?
The banner you're seeing on the login page is a general notification, not a personalized reminder specific to your account status. This banner is displayed for all users before they log in to inform everyone about the upcoming change and the requirement to reset passwords. If you've already set up your new password, please ignore the banner and log in with your new credentials.
Will the JFrog platform be part of the unified login in the future?
The ultimate goal is to establish a unified login system, allowing each user to access all relevant resources with a single set of credentials. By first consolidating platform-related portals, we aim to streamline the user experience for a large segment of our customers.
This phased implementation ensures a more manageable and less disruptive transition towards our overarching vision of a completely unified login experience.
If I have credentials only for the Support Portal, how will I benefit from this change?
During the transition to a unified login system, support portal users will experience several improvements:
- A redesigned user interface with an enhanced user experience, including a new password reset process.
- A Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) option for increased security, which users can enable.
- A new login option using Google Single Sign-On (SSO).
Is there any access disruption/downtime during the reset/setup process?
The transition is designed to be a smooth and transparent process for Support Portal users. No disruption/downtime is expected.
